Along with his work in the ministry, he has been a community activist for well over thirty years, which has allowed him the opportunity to work with numerous groups and individuals for the good of society. His relationship with the Republican Party has provided him opportunities to work with and meet such esteemed individuals as, President George Bush, Justice Clarence Thomas, Mr. Tom Monaghan, the late Reggie White, and Alveda King, the niece of the late Dr. Martin Luther King. He has also been a guest on programs with Alan Keyes, Congressman Henry Hyde, Judge Roy Moore, and others. Pastor Yuille has been a board member of the following groups and organizations:

  • Chairman of Michigan Black Republican Council of Southeastern Michigan
  • One of the founding members of the Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor and Vicinity Ministerial Alliance. This alliance consisted of forty-four inter-denominational churches in Washtenaw County and he was their president for 6 years.
  • Member and chairman of a grassroots drug prevention agency, Parent’s Together. Parent’s Together had a starting budget of $20,000, and grew to $300,000 dollars during his tenure as chairman.
  • Chairman of the Neighborhood Health Clinic. He worked with Dr. D. Brown to serve the needs of those who couldn’t afford healthcare insurance.
  • Member of Leaders in Prevention. This group was chaired by the late Millie Schembechler, the wife of Bo Schembechler the recently deceased former coach of the University of Michigan football team.
  • Chairman of the Hope Clinic Pastoral Advisory Board. This board serves Washtenaw with free medical, dental, and other related health and social service needs.
  • National Director of the National Black Pro-Life Congress. This position has allowed him to speak for over a decade around the country and three providences in Africa (Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania) on behalf of the unborn. He has also spoken throughout the state of Michigan for Michigan Right to Life.

Pastor Yuille has received numerous awards and accolades including City of Ypsilanti, Citizen of the Year, Pregnancy Counseling Center Community Service Award, and the Life Time Achievement Award from Right to Life Michigan which he shared in part with his lovely wife and companion of 33 years Sally Yuille. He has also received over forty awards and citations for his involvement with quality of life causes which reflect his concern for humanity.

Pastor Yuille’s best friend and traveling companion Sally, have been blessed with eight children and an abundance of great and great grandchildren.
